Can I give this place 6 stars? This review is for our semi-private session with Tom Giordano. There's 4 of us (2 friends have never tried shooting before). I reached out to Jimmy who connected me with Tom so we were coordinating before the holidays on what our options are, how much it would cost and how many people they can accommodate. Thank you for accommodating all of us on such short notice. I have been shooting before but I found it helpful and informative to have the classroom session with Tom. He emphasized safety and the mechanics of the gun and how to hold it properly to minimize recoil / movement. This helps in precision shooting. I also learned what my dominant eye is so that's what I use to aim better. During live fire, tom would check in on me periodically and give me little tweaks to better my aim. My grouping is pretty good at 15 yards so he recommends next time I come in to have a private session so I can work on holster draws, and more fun targets. With my friend's membership, we ended up paying $70+. The membership is totally worth it - you get guest passes, 12 free gun rentals, discounts on port rentals, gear, ammos and targets. I would love to continue working with Tom to better my skills.

First, if this is your first time here, the process is simple and quick. Parking is abundant which is always my concern when looking up places in NJ. The front desk explained the paperwork that needed to be signed and often joked with us as we were filling it out. This is well organized for first timers and the staff here makes it very welcoming for guests. Second, the staff behind the register and the weapons were so patient and made sure that we understood the different options. I was a bit confused on the packages they offered and had to make a last minute change. My friends came in a bit earlier and were already on line but the staff managed to squeeze me in with them so I can fire with them and I was so grateful for that flexibility. Third, the instructors couldn't be any more clearer and helpful as we were getting oriented to the weapon. Concise instructions and useful walk-through on how to use the weapon safely and how to act while on the range help made this experience smooth, comfortable and easy for all the members in my party. Helpful reminders on how much time we had on the range rather than surprising us by kicking us when our time is up off was greatly appreciated. And lastly, afterwards, one of the owners stopped by and chatted with us. He genuinely wanted to know how our experience was before we left. Despite our conversation lasting for only 5 minutes, we all left feeling like actual valued guests. In the area and want to learn and fire some weapons safely? Check this place out!!

Love GFH and their team! As a new gun owner I've went to a couple ranges in my area to see what's around and prices but GFH is definitely in my opinion the best and cheapest. No sign up/club fees for basic membership, super cheap if you go with a friend or two but even by yourself it's not bad. Can't comment on how much it would cost for rentals but the targets are the cheapest around so if you need to get everything in one spot you're not paying an arm and a leg for range ammo. Now they're adding 60+ more ports apparently, there should be no wait times at all. Also all their wait times are over calculated so if they tell you and hour it's really about half that time.

So. Much. Fun. I had to give this guy my number three times because I forgot to bring my membership card. Not complaining, he was really cute and I was secretly hoping that he'd have memorized my number by then so he can call me to hang out sometime. I hope he has good memory! Lol We rented a 40 caliber gloc and a 45 caliber gloc and since we have this coupon, we were able to rent both guns for the price of one. Tip: come on a weekend and ask about this promo, come on a weekday to avail of the discount. My friend bought earmuffs and glasses so she didn't have to rent hers, but rental for these cost a little over $7. So if you know you'll keep coming back, it's worth buying your own. My friend also bought fun targets online so we didn't have to buy from the range. This time, I was able to try 15 yards and 20 yards without sucking at it and it was pretty fun. Someone in the range was shooting a desert eagle so I was a little distracted. The instructors made sure everyone was following protocol and it's safe for everyone in the range to shoot. Michael was pretty helpful advising my friend how to hold the gun to have better aim. They're all very friendly and helpful. Besides working on my groupings, I'm starting to practice pacing my shots so I can aim and shoot with a time limit. Next time I'm going to book a personal instructor so I can advance my skills. This place was very friendly, informative and safe. my instructor Ray was a delight to work with. for my first time he made me feel very comfortable with a fire arm. i would recommend all first time shooters to sign up and try Gun For Hire.

My experience at gun got hire is amazing !!!! I am new in shooting  and I had the perfect instructor John M to teach me !! He showed me how to grip , stance and pull the trigger !!! Very friendly and understanding... I definitely recommend him and this gun range!!!

I happily recommend this place! First time was an amazing experience. EVERYBODY was attentive, NICE, helpful! I had never handled a firearm before and was a little hesitant but they made the experience fun. J kwan was THE BEST and Leopoldo was incredible! Will definitely come back.

Very good experience. Anthony our instructor  was awesome, explained the procedure very well and clear.  Jokes were relevant too. Did I mention the trainer was super awesome!! Definitely will be back. Brother it was amazing spend the time together.

Amazing staff!! Today my 8yr old wanted to shoot for his bday. The instructor Henry was awesome with him. He showed him everything from holding correctly, to loading rounds, to firing. My son caught on so quick with Henry that it looked liked he was a sniper with that .22 bolt action lol.  My son even had to buy the hat to show everyone at school where he went. 4hrs later and he still won't take the hat off, telling everyone how much fun he had today!

I took my sister in law, Natalia, who is from Moscow with me for a visit to the GunsForHire gun range.  Our experience was fantastic. Our instructor Michael B and the reset of the staff and instructors were very friendly and helpful.  It was Natalia's first time shooting a hand gun and the instructor took extra time to show her the correct way for grip the SiG 226 she was using.  Great experience that I would recommend for first timers or experienced gun enthusiast! Thanks to the staff and instructors GunsForHire for making a great lasting memory with my family! We will definitely return shortly!

I would give 10 stars if I could... I had a great time here. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, they treat you like family here. I cant remember everyone's name but special shout out to Jimmy, Kelly and Anthony.

The Best Range you can go to! Family friendly everyone is attentive and helpful. It was my first time at Gun For Hire and I had never handled a firearm, so I was a little nervous. These nerves were eased very quickly when Gary assisted me. Doesn't matter who you are they are great to everyone.
