Anthony… Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed working with you yesterday.

I’ve spent the past ten years meeting, researching, studying and working with entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, leaders, scientists and artists from, so far, 478 different and diverse fields. Most of the people I’ve had the pleasure to work with are, hands down, the best in their fields (the rest are well on their way to becoming such).

As an author, producer, and now (albeit reluctant) expert on innovation and creative thinking, my business is a lot like mining for gold— in that, in order to find a single ounce of gold you’ve got to dig and sort through tons and tons of dirt.

Fortunately, I discovered a secret that has made this monumental job tolerable: when you go into the mine each day, you can’t go in focusing on all that dirt; you’ve gotta go in the hole looking for the gold.

Businesses in every field—from medicine to mining— all have this one thing in common: there’s no shortage of shitheads.

Consequently, it always delights me to discover the men and women who, like a unique golden nugget, shine brightly through the mounds and mounds of common dirt.  You, my friend, are such a man.

Your professionalism is flawless, your enthusiasm contagious and your love for what you do and who you do it for is obvious. It is truly a pleasure and an honor to know you and to have the opportunity work with you.

See ya Saturday,

Sandy
