Whether you’re a new gun owner, looking to purchase, or just want to learn how to respect and use a pistol, this is your first step. This is Gun For Hire’s exclusive flagship course which is only available at Gun For Hire. The education goes way beyond the typical textbook because of our highly trained instructors who have decades of experience in law enforcement and the military. Not only do you learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely, but you also hear first-hand examples and life lessons from the best in the industry. This course is about 4 hours long, includes classroom and range time, and utilizes revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. In addition to skills and attitude, you’ll learn the rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the two-handed standing positions, and continued opportunities for skill development. At the end of the course, you will also earn an NRA First Steps Pistol Certificate, and if you qualify, you can earn a seat in the next level course.

You do not need to register. Just come in.

Florida CCW: If you need to renew or obtain for the first time your Florida CCW the fee is $65 which includes the fingerprint cards, application and photo. Just walk-in anytime during our finger printing hours. No prepayment is necessary. You must provide one of the following: Your Florida CCW renewal packet, or for first timers your NRA Basics of Pistol Certificate, Your Hunter certification certificate or proof of DD-214.
