I went today around 11:30am and there weren’t very many people. I was a little intimidated because I look like a little girl who doesn’t look older 12. I was greeted by a lovely lady in the front who had me fill out some paperwork in Classroom C and then directed me to the gun rental desk in the back. I forget his name, but it was a young guy who went to Monclair who helped me and recommended guns to me. There was another man with glasses there that I didn’t catch his name, but both were very helpful, very friendly, and assured me that I had nothing to be nervous about. They got me all set up, told me exactly what to expect, and I only had to wait 25 minutes before going in to actually shoot! It wasn’t bad at all. Once I was in there, I was directed to a guy at the computer who taught me exactly what I needed to know, went over some rules, and set me up for a great hour of shooting. It was such a thrill! I definitely am addicted and definitely want to go back. I drove all the way from Rutgers (it’s about an hour drive) because of the good Yelp reviews and because of all the reviews saying that they were really good with nervous people who haven’t shot before or who haven’t shot in a long time. All of that is true. Every single staff member that I met was friendly, helpful, easy to talk to, and they all really put you at ease so that you can concentrate on having a good time. I appreciate all of their help and I HIGHLY recommend going to this place. They will definitely see me again when I can make the drive down there.
For ladies with bags and purses, there are cubbies inside that correspond to your port number when it’s your turn to go. You can store all of your belongings in there. In terms of the facility, this is the first shooting range I’ve gone to so I can’t really compare it to anything, but it was clean, bright, and straightforward. Even the bathrooms were clean. I didn’t chance to try their cafe, so I can’t say anything about that, but I’m sure it’s great.
Overall, awesome experience. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, I would rate higher.
