We went their as part of our New York trip. As fellow Canadians who have barely touched a weapon except for hunting classes, this was an absolute great experience. Everyone was happy to have us around, recommend us and show us how to use the weapons. We finished off by the .50 BMG and could not regret less! We will have to stop by whenever we come back in the area again! Huge props to this place and the people who served us! If your a tourist and looking to experience shooting a few rounds, this is THE place to do so!

Great place to practice shooting a gun safely, of course. The staff is very friendly and well informed and they explain many aspects wonderfully and respectfully that is needed to be safe for everyone near and still have a fun time with Friends or Family.

My first visit - extremely impressed with the range facility, the friendliness of the staff, their deep subject expertise and the overall experience offered. From when you walk in, through the sign in process, the staff that helps select the firearm rentals & membership (thank you David Hollenbeck), and the range instructors - a platinum level experience in a safe environment. I plan to be a long term member.

Ask for gene in the gun store. He took the time to first start with gun safety and handling, showed us a bunch of different guns and explained them all thoroughly…Very knowledgeable all round, would definitely come back to purchase again and take some training classes with him

Notice to French people who want a unique experience in the United States, particularly in New Jersey, a few minutes from New York. A little clarification: you can go there by public transport or rent a car, it's really very simple. The Gun for hire shooting range welcomed us perfectly for this experience. We were able to shoot with two different weapons, chosen by us, you can also choose different weapons. A big thank you to Raf and Cooler, who taught us all the safety elements and gave us a great time in their company. And of course to the whole team who are really adorable, a big thank you to you.

LOVE Gun For Hire. As a teacher, I know how important it is to be educated and willing to learn. Gene was a wealth of knowledge, patient and amazing at what he does. He educates others on gun safety and knowledge. I was so impressed with just the purchase that I'm scheduling a lesson! Find Gene, all are great, but he's fantastic!

Upon my arrival I was greeted with a such welcoming people, one of which is Gene who immediately took the time out to not only introduce me to the world of 1911s but gave me a little history behind it as well. Huge shoutout to our instructor Anthony L. for teaching 4 of us how to shoot our first gun ever! Even with all the noise of everyone shooting around us, his instructions were clear and he explained everything very thoroughly. If our posture or hand positioning was off he was quick to correct us and gave us constructive criticism. He truly made a huge difference in making us comfortable and confident shooters. Once we were ready for the big guns, instructor Litto helped us with our AR-15. I was a little scared to do more than one round at a time but this was easily my favorite gun at the end of the experience. We arrived around 3:30p on a Sunday and our wait was about 90mins before we got to shoot, but it was well worth it. Overall a great first time experience!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I decided to take my boyfriend shooting as a late Valentine’s Day gift and he loved it. Our experience was so good but I truly believe it was our instructor who made this experience unforgettable. He was a white young guy (who possibly had a mullet) and was a professional in training but he was so patient but fun. We were really nervous because we had shot before but he was very patient, informational, funny, and safe. Will definitely be coming back, hopefully we get him next time too!

Gene was very helpful and made me more knowledgeable of the firearm that I was purchasing and answered any questions I had. 10/10 recommended this location.

I came in to shoot for the first time after calling in advance to ask about prices and Trish greeted me on the phone and also in person. She had a very pleasant demeanor and made me feel really comfortable going in to handle a firearm, she recommended a .22 caliber gun, which worked perfect for me! I would go again in a heartbeat to be greeted by her again! The RSOs were also very nice, specifically Kuma, a taller one with red hair and a beard who i didn’t get the name of, and Addison. They made me feel the most comfortable showing me how to hold and helping me rent the gun. The larger one with red hair was also very respectful and also called me “ma’am”. i felt very welcomed and would absolutely shoot here again! <333

Never shot before and I felt so comfortable there. A big shout out to Yosef who guided us on how to shoot both an AR-15 and a shot gun. It was a very pleasant experience with a very pleasant staff and really well priced. I Highly recommend.

I went with my wife to purchase her first gun today & it was an awesome experience. The store manager, Juan, was very knowledgeable, experienced, & patient. We did not feel rushed & he walked us through the membership benefits especially as a first timer. Steve went through the details of the membership. Jonathan was our instructor & gave us a quick lesson to be able to practice & experience the gun we wanted to purchase. I recommend Gun for Hire to everyone. Thank you to all!

We had instructor John P. He is legit the best hands down. From instructions to handling to being personable and attentive I cannot and will not complain. He made me feel at ease with an AR-15 and was a great cheerleader lol he also has great patience I was very jittery and nervous with the 9mm. He let me know it was ok and fine and to try only what I was comfortable with. I fully entrusted him in my experience and will continue to do so. He helped me develop a new hobby and because of that I’m looking into a membership my next visit which should be very soon!!

My husband and I drove an hour and a half to try this gun range in honor of his birthday, and we weren’t disappointed. Matt went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Came in with my boyfriend to purchase a gun after being recommended to come here. It was busy but the service was surprisingly fast. Gene gave us great service by providing us with information we didn’t know we needed. Overall staff is very friendly and they welcome you like family.
