GFH First Steps Pistol

The best Range in NJ First Steps Pistol - GFH First Steps Pistol

Hi Anthony, Charlie & Jimmy Last night I attended the First Steps class with Jimmy. Even though this class is geared for beginning shooters and I have been a gun owner since 1983, the class was very informative and I learned a lot. Jimmy has a great teaching style that made learning a serious topic fun and easy to understand. He engages the class well and keeps everyone involved. During the live fire session Paul worked with me and helped me overcome some bad habits I’ve developed over the years and he also has a nice approach to teaching firearms safety and handling. I also observed both Paul and Jimmy taking first-time shooters from nervous first trigger pulls to consistent groupings. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Last week I also took the UT & FL non-resident CCW courses with Charlie at Cherry Ridge. He also has a great presentation style and managed to get a room full of applicants trained and processed promptly. Your Woodland Park facility is also first class. It’s clean and welcoming. Most indoor ranges I’ve been to are dark and not user-friendly. GFH stands head and shoulders above the competition. Thanks again for offering this opportunity to the public to increase firearms safety and skills. I look forward to another class soon.

Jimmy, thank you very much for an enjoyable and educational ‘first steps pistols class’ last week. You were extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. I’m just starting the permit process here in Livingston, NJ and have begun researching the first pistol I’d like to buy. What would you recommend I look at (I’d like to buy both an automatic and revolver)? Here is what I’m looking to get out of a gun:- A fun, accurate range gun – Durable, easy to break down, simple – Something comfortable for big hands (I’m 6’3 and have big hands) Thanks!

Dear Anthony, I found the First Steps course to be a very lively and spirited one.It is refreshing to be among a group of people who cherish the right to own firearms. Our instructor, Robert Howe, knows guns like the back of his hand and was quite helpful. It was a pleasure meeting you, Anthony, and I’m glad you made that cameo appearance in the classroom. Hopefully, one day the State of New Jersey will come to its senses and adopt rational firearms legislation. And when it does, we can all thank the outspoken proponents of Second Amendment rights like yourself. My Florida CCW application went out in the mail yesterday. I look forward to my next course at Guns For Hire.

While the intention of my girlfriend and I was to enhance our shooting ability by taking some advanced courses at GFH, and with no prior training other than years of shooting, we were instructed to take the NRA First Steps Pistol. All I can say is how amazing the class was , our instructor Sai was extremely helpful in refining our stances and grip. Once on the firing line, he again took the extra time to help my girlfriend and help her become much more comfortable and accurate with her new gun. We can’t wait to take more classes at GFH.

Hello Jimmy, my name is Ethan Bernstein. My father and brother and I just took your first steps beginner’s pistol class yesterday. We loved it and knew we wanted to come take the next class immediately. We were told that the next class to take was called the GFH next steps pistol course. Now, I just looked online and saw that it said that these lessons are private and have to be set up, so we were wondering what the pricing for 1 person for this course is, so we can decide how soon we can take the next class. Get back to me when you get a chance. Thanks for your time and have a great day. Our instructor’s name yesterday was Ed. He was extremely kind and thorough and we really thought he did a great job.

Hi Anthony, Thanks for your email. Yes – I enjoyed the class yesterday; it was very informative and a good introduction to shooting safely. I now feel confident enough to go to the range and practice independently. However, I know that this is only an introduction and want to come back for further classes. I just wish you were closer than the 2 hour drive! But it was well worth it and will be seeing you again in 4-6 weeks hopefully. Many thanks.

Anthony and staff, I truly enjoyed and was extremely impressed with the extensive wealth of knowledge and your dead on approach to teaching firearms, First Steps to me. You covered an enormous amount of information in a short period of time and your teaching techniques and interaction with the students was remarkable, honest, and sincere. Absolutely can not say enough about the no B.S. way you people do your instruction and run the whole Gun For Hire Teaching / Training facility . Totally professional, yet very friendly, and by far the best firearms instruction I have ever seen. I am looking forward to continuing my training in other classes you offer in the near future. Thanks again!
