Yes — you can bring your own legally owned firearm to shoot at Gun For Hire!
Whether you’re coming from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or any other state, you’re welcome to shoot your own firearm here. Our Range Safety Officers will guide you every step of the way to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Gun For Hire is a family-friendly range — kids 8+ can shoot with a parent or legal guardian (21+).
What You Need to Bring:
- Your own legally owned firearm
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport)
- Ammo for your firearm (available on-site while supplies last)
Transport Rules (Required for All States):
- Firearms must be unloaded and stored in a locked case during travel
- Magazines must be unloaded during transport
- Ammo should be stored separately from the firearm
If You Are Concealed Carrying:
You absolutely can conceal carry at Gun For Hire. Please alert our staff at the register when checking in. Never remove your firearm from the holster until you are safely inside your assigned port.
Good News for Out-of-State Shooters:
- You do not need a New Jersey Firearms ID card to shoot your own gun here
- You can shoot pistols, rifles, shotguns, and compliant firearms
- Our staff is here to help with any questions about safety or setup
