If you are bringing your own firearm, you may shoot solo in your port. However, if you plan on renting firearms, you must have at least one other person with you.For safety reasons, solo rentals are not permitted. Each port can accommodate up to four people, so you’re welcome to bring friends or family to share the experience. This policy ensures the highest level of safety while still giving you the flexibility to enjoy the range on your own if you bring your own firearm.

Can I bring my own firearm to a training course?

2025-09-02T15:23:47-04:00

Yes! For our beginner-level courses (such as NRA First Steps in pistol, rifle, or shotgun), students typically use the specific rental firearms we provide for consistency and safety. However, you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Once you progress beyond the beginner level, things change: for all intermediate and advanced courses, you are required to use your own firearm. Rentals are not available at those levels, as training focuses on building deeper skills with your personal firearm. This structure ensures that beginners learn on standardized, easy-to-use firearms, while experienced shooters advance with the firearm they plan to carry or train with long-term.
