Yes! Gun For Hire is fully equipped for rifles and shotguns in addition to handguns.

Rifles:

  • Rifles under .50 caliber are welcome.

  • Larger “Big Bore” or African Dangerous Game calibers may be shot on our 50-yard range.

  • The Barrett .50 BMG is available as a rental in the 50-yard range.

Shotguns:

  • Shoulder-fired shotguns are permitted.

  • Stockless shotguns (such as the TAC-14 or Shockwave) are not allowed.

  • Ammunition must be buckshot or slugs only—no birdshot or target loads.

Ammunition Rules:
For safety, the following types of ammunition are not permitted:

  • Steel core

  • Armor-piercing

  • Tracer

  • Incendiary

  • Bi-metal jacketed

Other Restrictions:

  • All long guns must be fired from the shoulder.

  • Muzzle loader/black powder firearms are not permitted.

  • Please inform our staff if you plan to shoot a rifle or shotgun so they can verify your ammunition.
