Whether you’re a new gun owner, looking to purchase, or just want to learn how to respect and use a rifle, this is your first step. This is Gun For Hire’s exclusive course which is only available at Gun For Hire. The education goes way beyond the typical textbook because of our highly trained instructors who have decades of experience in law enforcement and the military.
This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a rifle safely. This course is about 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time. You can use your rifle or one that will supplied by us. Normally, we use an AR-15 platform. You’ll learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts, and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, two-handed standing positions, cleaning the rifle, and continued opportunities for skill development. After the class, you will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, the NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a course completion certificate.
If you qualify, you have the option at the end of the course to register for our Urban Carbine 1.
