NJ Use Of Force

This 3-hour class is designed to give the student an understanding of the New Jersey Use of Force policy and guidelines. All aspects of Use of Force will be covered to include the use of deadly force. This course is tailored to active security guards, retired police officers, and law-abiding citizens that want training on the State of New Jersey’s Use of Force policy. At the end of the course, the student will be more proficient in knowing when not to use force as well as being effective in administering force and understanding when it is acceptable to use each level of force.

Course Details:

• There are no prerequisites to take this course. The material is suitable for all, including appropriately supervised, mature children. Minimum age is 13 years old.
• The length of the course is approximately 3 hours
• This course is held at Gun For Hire 1267 McBride Ave. Woodland Park, NJ 07424
• This course does not fulfill the requirements for the NJ CCW course.

No-Show Policy:

A $25 fee will apply if you need to change your date.

Last night I attended the first Use of Force class offered at Gun For Hire and have to say it fulfilled my expectations completely. Vlad, Musy and James presented the material in a direct comprehensive manner  covering everything from the sanctity of life, to cover and concealment and everything in between.  They answered all questions that were presented to them by the class, often expanding on them offering different scenarios and perspectives. This class brakes down the stereotype ideas about carrying a firearm and expressed how important it is to know how the law interprets actions and how the decisions we may have to make could directly effect us. This class coupled with the Holster Draw class I took Sunday gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for carrying a firearm. Everyone considering carrying should make it a priority to attend these classes. Thank you and your team for sharing your knowledge and experience with the public.

Tony is a United States Navy Veteran as well as a Veteran Law Enforcement Officer with over 25 years of experience. During his illustrious career, he was the training officer for his department and was responsible for their bi-annual qualifications and training for approximately 100 law enforcement officers. Tony was also state-certified in all aspects of firearms training, which included handguns, shotguns, sub-guns, semi and automatic rifles, as well as scoped rifles. In addition, Tony was qualified to testify as a firearms expert, as well as in the “Use of Force”. Tony is also a high-level martial artist, with well over 30 years of training, and was a state-certified Defensive Tactics Instructor.
