The California Non-Resident CCW Qualification at Gun For Hire is a comprehensive firearms qualification course designed to meet California CCW training requirements for out-of-state applicants. This qualification focuses on the live-fire qualification standards commonly required by California issuing authorities. Whether you are renewing or applying for a California CCW as a non-resident, Gun For Hire provides an efficient, compliant, and professionally guided qualification experience trusted by responsible gun owners nationwide.

Qualification Details

  • Minimum age to participate: 21 years old.
  • Qualification duration: approximately 1 hour.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early. Late arrivals must reschedule and pay for a new qualification.
  • This qualification is held at Gun For Hire, 1267 McBride Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424.

Required Gear:

  • Firearm (must be registered to you)
  • Minimum two magazines
  • 30 rounds of factory ammunition
  • Ear Protection
  • Wrap-around eye protection. Side shields will be provided and are mandatory for those who do not bring wrap-around eye protection. Brimmed hats are strongly recommended.
  • Jeans or BDU style pants. No Sweatpants, No shorts, No open-toed shoes.

What We Will Cover

  • This qualification fulfills all training requirements for the California Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit.

Please arrive 15 minutes early. If you are late, you must sign up for another available course date and will be charged for a new qualification.

Reschedule or Cancel 2 or More Days Before Your Course:
100% refund to the original payment method, or you may transfer into the next available date.

Reschedule or Cancel Less Than 24 Hours Before Your Course:
Receive a 50% credit of your purchase price in your Gun For Hire account, which may be applied toward a future date.
This reduction is due to staffing, scheduling, and course preparation already completed.

No-Show Policy:
If no cancellation is provided, no credit or refund is available.

Rescheduling Policy More Than 24 Hours Before Your Course:
A $25 fee will apply if you need to change your date.
Please choose your date carefully.
