Pistol Match
Here is how the event works:
• There are 2 divisions: Iron sights (32 shooters) and optics (32 shooters). Both shoot same day.
• If you have optic and iron sight firearms, you may sign up for each category.
• Firearms registered for the Iron Sight Category can not have optics mounted.
• You can only sign up for 1 spot in each category.
• Shooters will be matched up before the event based on previous scores. If you have no plate match history at Gun For Hire, the match up will be random.
• There are 3 tables and racks set up in the range.
• 2 Shooters are at each table. On the RSO’s command all the shooters will uncase and ready their firearms and 3 magazines.
• The first table on the RSO’s command will begin shooting, the shooter who drops their 3 plates the fastest is the winner of the string.
• There are 3 strings per bracket.
• The best shooter 2 out of 3 strings is the winner of the bracket and moves forward to the next bracket.
• All winners must stay for the duration of the event as they move up. Failure to stay will result in a forfeit.
• There will be a final winner for both brackets that evening.
Course Details:
• You must bring your own handgun. Iron sights or optics
• You can not load you magazines outside of the range in the sitting area.
• Once it is your turn, you will have the opportunity to load magazines if necessary inside the range on the back deck
• At no point are you allowed to uncase your firearm anywhere except for the dueling rack table.
• Shooting is done in waves, each wave is approximately 10 minutes. Each wave has 3 strings, It is the best 2 out of 3. If a shooter wins the first 2 waves the 3rd wave is removed to ensure the competition moves forward on time.
• You will be grouped in waves based on your prior plate rack league scores.
• If you have never shot a GFH plate rack league before your match up will be random.
• You do not need to stay for the entire event unless you win your bracket. If you win you will move forward in the event to the next bracket.

Required Gear
• A Pistol (Must be registered to you)
• There are two divisions, Optics and Iron Sights
• Eye and ear protection (Available for rent if necessary.)
• The winner can shoot as many as 210 rounds of ammo. Please plan ammo accordingly. Ammo will be available for purchase if necessary at the retail counters.
• Calibers: 9mm, .380, .40, .45
• For Pistols: 2-3 (10 round minimum) magazines required
• For Revolvers: At minimum 1 speedloader, ideally 3 speedloaders

No Refunds, No Rescheduling:
This event is pre-organized with the shooters being matched up. If you do not make the event, you forfeit your spot and the challenger moves to the next bracket. There are no refunds or credits if you do not make the event.
